Mobile Phone Services to Remain Suspended in 46 Districts TodayPakistan Telecommunication Authority has suspended the mobile phone services in 46 districts today i.e. 3rd January, 2019 because of the occasion of Chehlum of Imam Hussain (R.A). It is so far been considered ad the largest mobile service closure. The mobile service would remain suspended and closed on 3rd January, 2019. It is duration of 14 – 15 hours and not a single mobile service commencement would take place.

This mobile service closure will be covering more than 100 cities in these 46 districts. Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has made strict regulations regarding the closure of this mobile service. Not a single mobile service is allowed to activate its service without any legal announcement.

Mobile service will remain suspended from 0800 hrs to 2200 hrs on 3rd January, 2019. For the city of Lahore, timings would 0600 hrs to 2300 hrs.

Below are the names of the cities where the suspension of mobile service will take place:

Punjab would be covering following cities where mobile phone services would remain suspended: Lahore, Sargodha, Narowal, Multan, Faisalabad, Attock, Jhelum, Bhakkar, Pakpatan, DG Khan, Rawalpindi, Chiniot, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Layyah, and T.T Singh.

Sindh would be covering following cities where mobile phone services would remain suspended from 0800 hrs to 2200 hrs on 3rd January, 2013: Hyderabad, Khairpur, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, Noushero Faraz and Karachi Range

Balochistan would be covering following cities where mobile phone services would remain suspended from 0800 hrs to 2200 hrs on 3rd January, 2013: Quetta, Loralai, Zhob, Khuzdar, Jafarabad, Sibi, Jhal Magsi and Nasirabad

Azad Jammu & Kashmir would be covering following cities where mobile service closure will take place: Muzaffarabd, Bhimber, Mirpur, Bagh, Kotli and Rawalakot

In Gilgit Baltistan, mobile service would remain close from 0900 hrs to 1500. The district of Gilgit would be the affected district of this suspended mobile service
